SOLVED: Slam64 install, c/fdisk says "can't open drive."

When booting from the Slamd64 10.2b .iso, I am unable to run c/fdisk; an error message reads something like this (forgive me, I can't recall the message verbatim atm): "terminal error, 'can't opend drive'" or somesuch. Obviously being unable to set up partitions makes installation problermatic. RTFM yielded no solutions, nor did STFW, or searching here. My searchfu is not rightous today, I guess.

As I type this, the thought occurs to me that the problem might be related to the fact may be related to my system's only drive beig SATAII...*searching*...but Slamd64 wiki indicates SATA should be no problem, and Slack bootable CDs are supposedly SATA-friendly, too.

My system is coomprised of an EPoX 9npa+Ultra, eVGA 6600GT, 3200+, Corsair XMS, Seagate 7200.9.

Thanks.

Well, found the problem: I'm an idiot.

Somehow, I wasn't thinking about the OBVIOUS fact I need to try booting with the proper kernel (ie, sata.s).

Cue Red Foreman. :P
