Question Slackware running alonside SuSE? Mouse Problems!!

After finally running into 'dependency hell' with RPMs I've decided to try a non-RPM based distro and Slack seemed the way to go (I'm so tired of going round in circles in SuSE to find which config file among the many I have to edit!)

Anyhow I'm a bit of a newbie still when it comes to linux and I wanted to check if it's possible to have Slackware running on the same machine as SuSE (and Windoze2K, sorry but I need it for some college work ) ? I don't have time to do a clean install right now so I thought I'd just free some space up to try out Slack.

My partition table looks something like:-

Windoze ~ 5Gb
SuSE / ~ 5GB
SuSE /usr ~ 7GB
SuSE /home ~ 15GB

Free space reclaimed from /home ~ 5GB (resizing partitions is sooo easy in linux )

Oh, has anyone successfully got the Intel 536ep HAM modem working in slackware? Intel has a driver out and I've had it working in SuSE but not Mandrake (no idea why mandrake won't play despite the fact that there are mandrake specific packages available)

Don't know about the modem but I had Debian,Mandrake,Slackware and XP on the same machine with no problems. I used "ntldr" to boot everything and it worked great.

You can and it will work fine but the Linux distros are easier to work with and Windows --- well it's Windows.. I think there are a couple of how-to's on this site. The whole install's less than 5 minutes. All you do is run your Linux bootloaders to their respective root partitions. Then "dd if=/dev/(root partition) of=/bootsect.slk bs=512 count=1",copy the resullting files to C: and add the corresponding lines to "boot.ini" and you're done.
