I tried installing slackware 9.1 on a dell latitude CPi laptop today however problems came up after install. It comes up and says strike F1 to boot or F2 for setup utility. I took the installation media out of the drive and install seemed to complete successfully. Any suggestions wouild be helpful.
thats the only error i get. Here is the setup I did:
Booted from the Slackware 9.1 cd
Fdisked two partitons: 1 for swap and a data partition
ran the setup app, followed the prompts
things started to install
after a while i inserted the second cd.
it finished, set root password popped out the cd and rebooted
then the F1 to boot or F2 to go to setup error. if i hit F1 it just beeped and repeated the message.
The machine is a dell latitude cpi laptop w/a 12 gb hd, 192 megs of ram, 400mhz Pentium II, D-Link ethernet adapter.
If you need to know anything else just let me know

The F1 or F2 error sure seems like it's from the BIOS. Hit F2 to make sure everything is copesetic with the BIOS (or whatever passes for one on the Dell). Save any changes and reboot.
