Slackware 13.1 dual boot with windows 7 FATAL ERROR: Bad primary partition 1: Partiti
I am trying to dual boot windows 7 and Slackware but when I ran cfdisk I had the error
FATAL ERROR: Bad primary partition 3: Partition ends in the final partial cylinder and it asks me to exit cfdisk. I have been able to install other distros fine (openSUSE, mandriva) but I just cant work out what the problem is. |
Partition the disk with another tool like fdisk or gparted instead.
There's (probably) nothing wrong with your partition table. cfdisk just doesn't seem to like MiB-aligned partitions, which is the default in Windows since Vista and in other modern partitioning tools. |
Thanks for that. I thought it might have something to do with the windows partition.
