Slackware 13.1 dual boot with windows 7 FATAL ERROR: Bad primary partition 1: Partiti

I am trying to dual boot windows 7 and Slackware but when I ran cfdisk I had the error
FATAL ERROR: Bad primary partition 3: Partition ends in the final partial cylinder

and it asks me to exit cfdisk.

I have been able to install other distros fine (openSUSE, mandriva) but I just cant work out what the problem is.

Partition the disk with another tool like fdisk or gparted instead.

There's (probably) nothing wrong with your partition table.

cfdisk just doesn't seem to like MiB-aligned partitions, which is the default in Windows since Vista and in other modern partitioning tools.

Thanks for that. I thought it might have something to do with the windows partition.
