slackware 10 installs wrong kernel?

i just installed slackware 10 and upon reboot i get a lot of
cant load thisandthat module because kernel is 2.4.24 and modules are 2.4.26
what up with that?

you got a bad ISO...................
try a different mirror.......or download and install the 2.4.26 kernel on
your own..............
