Revolving Selecting Packages door
I am installing Slackware 10.1 from CD-ROM.
I go through about six different "SELECTING PACKAGES FROM SERIES XXXX..." screens and select/unselect various packages.
Then the install starts.
Then after a few packages are installed it goes back to the first "SELECTING PACKAGES ...." screen. With the DEFAULT selections checked (so I have to make all my selections over again).
IF there is some legitimate reason for this revolving door, why doesn't it AT LEAST remember my original selections???
Try just selecting install everything. You may be de-selecting something that something else depends on causing an error.
If you only have install1 deselect gnome and kde, and select everything else.
You can always remove what you don't want later.
