questions regarding scsi and bootdisk

I have slackware 10 up and running but it was my first install of it. I used the bare.i install so I am unable to locate my scsi drive and cd-rom. What kernel should I have used? should i have tried the scsinet.s for all controllers?

current scsi setup:

adaptec ultra320 scsi host raid adapter
seagate 72g scsi drive

Is there a way to integrate it into my system now or do i need to due a clean install?

My other question is during the install i did all the recommended setup features and I must use a bootdisk to load slack.. if i don't use disk it says error loading operating system. I read a post on here that said when in KDE load 1st disk and copy everything from kernals/bare.i to my boot directory, that did not achieve anything.

My boot setup is as follows:

I don't use lilo or grub because on all my previouse linux distros i always had problems dual booting. Actually only one = RH9. So now as my bios load I goto boot options and manualy boot that hard drive running linux.

P.S. on a side not in my ndiswrapper folder when i try to install i run "Make Install" and i get error unable to execute command.. Anyone have any ideas? Currently using only KDE 3.2

P.S.S also using 2.4

instead of using bare.i you could have used..........
scsi.s
scsi2.s
scsi3.s

these were available in the "kernels directory" on CD #1

yup got it up and running with the adaptec.s ... all scsi devices work great now.. and finally got lilo configured correctly so no more boot disk... still working on ndiswrapper got it installed but i didn't go through the network setup at install so its unable to locate hardware right now.. i believe thats my problem.
