optimizing slack (compiling packages from the source ISO disk)
i have an athlonXP with 512MB RAM though i am quite satisfied with slack but the slack packages are built for i486 architecture, i feel i can improve the performance by compiling(for my architecture) the slack packages from the source iso CDs provided at the slack mirrors along with the normal installation ISO CDs. but i don't have any idea how to do it. can anybody help.
thnx in advance saurabh |
