Network Connection

Hi, just finished installing slackware 10.2 got into the gui with no problems, KDE is working. I've been trying to set up my ethernet. I did netconfig under root. But when I checked under ifconfig the only thing that shows is lo. I've already restarted a couple times. Any ideas?

I assume you're still using the stock kernel (2.4.31) if you just installed Slackware.
What make/model is your network adapter? Check if it's loaded a module for it with lsmod.
Also try this:

ifconfig eth0 up
dhcpcd eth0

assuming you're using DHCP (router etc) of course.
