ok heres my issue my floppy drive is a piece of crap that doesnt work. I do have a cd rom. My problem is I just installed slack 10.2 on my HD I used the LILO install feature as well. I am now trying to boot and my systems seems to want to boot off of the Cd Rom and keeps giving me boot errors. , I have also tried to boot off of only the HD using BIOS. It loads my bootagent but is not recognizing that my HD has LILO or anything bootable onit. I am running 4 partitons all set for linux. I previously used windows on it but wiped that partition. Both times I tried to load linux it gives me a disk boot failure. insert system disk hit enter etc.

I am running an an AMD Athalon 3200+xp, I wanna say WD IDE HD 80G, 512MB on an ASUS A7n8xe-deluxe

I'd appriciate any help in getting my system working.

Try installing LILO to the MBR.

You could also check if your install went ok by giving this parameters when booting with Slackware CD 1: bare.i root=/dev/hdXX
Change bare.i to the kernel you used and /dev/hdXX to where your root partition is.
