LILO problem with Slack-14.0 installation

Hi,
I have tried to upgrade to Slack-14.0 over existing 13.37
from an ftp site mirror;seemed to be uneventful. When I tried to reboot I get the message 'Linux EBDA is big;Kernel/setup stack overlaps LILO second stage?
Any ideas about breaking the logjam? This hasn't happened with previous upgrades.

If you google the error, it turns up lots of help. Here is one user, and the fix.

You need to run the lilo version included in Slackware 14 as it can handle bigger kernels, as the ones included in Slackware 14. The lilo version in 13.37 can't do that.

There is another thread about that. « Même faute, même punition ».

Besides that, read carefully UPGRADE.TXT at the root of the Slackware 14 distribution media and this How To on SlakDocs.
