every things goes fine
in the end it says that installation is complete press ctrl+alt+delete to reboot
when I rebooted my computer there was nothing no boot loader, I don't know why lilo was not installed or detected so please help and tell me how to manually install lilo if we have bootable slackware 10 cds.
If you have a relatively newer computer, you not really need the /boot partition. If you want to reinstall the hole beast, try not creating the /boot. It works for me. The only machine I actually needed to do a /boot was a really old Compaq 166 MHZ... Also, if I remember right, Slackware installer actually asks for you to install Lilo automatically or manual. Choose auto. If it bugs, reinstall the beast, choose manual and then create the /boot on it.
no i have already a /boot partition when i was using red hat now i am shifting to slackware so i don't want to repartition my whole system cause i have also win xp installed, one thing that will help me is that how can i manually install lilo
uhm...it is a strange problem. Are you sure you putted the right command line into lilo.conf?
I'm thinking to a boot command error. I had the same problem in the past... when i typed lilo all goes fine, but rebooting the system does not start up. So i saw an error into my lilo.conf. The following is my lilo.conf hoping it could help you. (i cutted the not usefull comment)

P.S. Anyway i don't think you'll need to repartition your system neither to lose any data. A good news, i think!
# LILO configuration file
#THE FOLLOWING IS REALLY IMPORTANT! you must change /dev/hda #with the device that contains your boot partition. In my case it is a #different partition from the root partition.
boot = /dev/hda
image = /boot/vmlinuz
root = /dev/hda2
#the follow command is needed only if you want protect your #system from unauthorized access.
password=<a_password>
label = vmlinuz
