Issue installing on a fresh 1TB

When I run fdisk. The system says "You will not be able to write the partition table.
Note: sector size is 2048 (not 512)
Device contains neither a valid DOS partition table, nor Sun, SGI or OSF disklabel
Building a new DOS disklabel with disk identifier 0x812503f5.
Changes will remain in memory only, until you decide to write them.
After that, of course, the previous content won't be recoverable.

Warning: invalid flag 0x0000 of partition table 4 will be corrected by w(rite)"

When I run cfdisk it says
"Opened disk read-only - you have not permission to write"
Then it only shows a 3915.24 MB drive.

The bios shows 1000G

When I typed o system says
"Building new DOS disklabel with disk identifier 0x7bb6c1f2.
Changes will remain in memory only, until you decide to write them.
After that, of cours, the previous content won't be recoverable.

Warning: invalid flag 0x0000 of partition tavle 4 will be corrected by w(rite)"

I then did w and got
"unable to write /dev/hda"

It is a sata drive. Would I use hda or sdc?

The bios shows 1000G
That means it's reading your DVD, try:
Code:
cfdisk /dev/sda

Hi,

You can use 'parted' to get around the cylinder limitations of 'fdisk'.

When I did fdisk /dev/sda. It worked. I was doing fdisk /dev/hda. Thanks to all.
