Is there a way to install slack without floppy and without a DOS partition?

Hello,
I am wanting to install slackware on a desktop that has no floppy drive. In the FAQ section on there site it describes how to do this. However there method of creating a DOS partition and adding the diskette images and kernel is not described well. I have made several attempts (5 to be exact) and I keep messing up. (Wishing I had a 3.5" floppy drive about now).
Is there no other way around this?
Thanks.

Hi,

You don't need a floppy to install SlackwareŽ 12.0. Nor do you need a DOS partition.

Does your system boot from a cdrom? If so make certain that the boot order is the cd first, then hdd? Then just put the install cd1 in the cd and boot the system. If your system won't boot from a cdrom then you should look at the 'sbootmgr'.

You should read the Slackware 12.0 CHANGES_AND_HINTS.TXT, UPGRADE.TXT and RELEASE_NOTES!

These links and others can be found at 'Slackware-Links' .

Oh! Thank you very much onebuck. Those links will be very helpful
Actually I should apologize. This was a simple case of operator error and there was no need to post this question.
Thank you for you reply though.
