Installing slackware from a ntfs drive.

How can I install slackware from a windows partition? The filesystem is a ntfs. I have tried it but it gives an error that it cannot be mounted. Does anyone know how to do it or does it have to be a fat?

Can you get to a psuedo shell (usually [CTRL]-[ALT]-[F2]) and modprobe the ntfs driver? This depends on the ntfs driver being included in the boot system. A good timeto do this is when the install program stops to prompt you for the language. I haven't installed slackware, but they may outline the various installation types in a README file on the install disk.

From "Installing from hard disk" screen:
You may install from FAT or Linux partitions.
So, i think is not possible.

jschiwal is correct. try to boot with huge26.s ; maybe the module is compiled in. otherwise you would have to copy the ntfs module out of the kernel-modules package and put it on a floppy or usb stick.
