Install slackware without fdd & cdrom
Hi all,
I have problem when installing slackware with cdrom & floppy. Please help me!!! Hardware Sony PCG-C1XA no cdrom no floppy /dev/hda1 win98 - dos mode /dev/hda2 SLAX LiveCD version (installed into harddisk) /dev/hda3 swap I have download slackware 10.1 into /dev/hda1. I want to install slackware into my notebook. How can I do it? I have try to cp bzImage & initrd.img from slackware cd1 to /boot append /etc/lilo.conf image = /boot/bzImage root = /dev/hda2 label = SlackwareLinux read-only Booting it with this option at lilo, it will show unable to open an inital console and reboot. Thanks you for your answer. I have try it and it's ok now. But when I format my partition to ext3, it cannot let me install the slackware. When I format it to ext2, it's ok. Is the Slackware 10.1 cannot support ext3 file system? Thanks you SeaTigerIII |
