install slackware over network - a newbe's question..
 

hey there,
I'm new to this whole thing so please be kind!

I want to install slackware linux to a server but I want to do it over network so that the new server will have exactly the same configuration as the rest servers of our network. Note that I have no idea about what's happening to the rest of the network since I'm new to this job. Plus I want to use the new server as a back up of an old one.... where do I start from??????

*pretty much confused, any advice would be welcome*

do you want it to be a standby backup or do you want it up and running connected?

up and running connected! (still don't have an idea about how to make an installation with the same configuration as the one server that I wanna bavk up)

have you heard of clustering?
