Well, the next tool you want to look at is
netconfig

Tell me a bit more about the set-up, though.

Router, cable-modem, modem?
dhcp or static IP?

Cheers,
Tink

In this case it's dead-easy mate. Do you happen to
know the model/make of your Slack-machines
network card (netconfig will auto-detect quite a
few but not ALL NIC's)?

Become root, run netconfig

Tink

You'll have to go to the nVidia website and download
the drivers, they aren't part of the kernel.

No, and that's for various reasons.

The most important is that this forum is searchable,
that is, others can benefit from what I tell you in
a few weeks time.

Cheers,
Tink

If it's (the floppy) in /etc/fstab try a
mount /mnt/floppy

It if's not, and you don't have a /mnt/floppy
do a
mkdir /mnt/floppy
mount -t auto /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy

Cheers,
Tink

P.S.: I suggest you take an online course of some
sort in Linux (or read a tutorial like Rute, or Mechtelt's
linux intro) if you haven't even got the faintest idea
of how to mount a floppy.... otherwise you will become
as frustrated as the people who are trying to help you.
