How to change resolutions in KDE

I'm using slackware 9.1, on kernel 2.4.22

runnning KDE 3.1

How do I change the screen resolution
I think my resolution curently is 1000 something * 900 something

I want it to be 800x600

have you tried

ctrl-alt-<plus>
and
ctrl-alt-<minus> ??

you need to edit your /etc/X11/xf86config file..............
scroll down to "Screen Sections" and edit the "modes" depending on
what "depth" you have it set to........the "DefaultDepth" is what your
currently set at........

I actually knew it was something with the xconfig file, but I neva knew its the DefaultDepth
