does thatdepend on you having k allready installed cos i only had disc 1+2
No, it doesn't. In fact, I explicitly mentioned in that blog post that it would be recommended to remove kde3 and qt3 in the first place. kde3 is everything that happens to be in kde/ and kdei/, which is on the 3rd disc of Slackware 12.2. qt3 is in l/.
