How do I install KDE 4.2 to Slackware 12.2? Slack 12.2 comes with KDE 3.5
 
subject basically says it all. Is there something simple like a script or tarball?

Never tried it myself (and maybe it's worth just switching to current anyway), but here's a little how-to

does thatdepend on you having k allready installed cos i only had disc 1+2

No, it doesn't. In fact, I explicitly mentioned in that blog post that it would be recommended to remove kde3 and qt3 in the first place. kde3 is everything that happens to be in kde/ and kdei/, which is on the 3rd disc of Slackware 12.2. qt3 is in l/.
