Gnome Settings Daemon prob

Got a bit of a problem (i am not sure i am assigning it the right category).
I am getting this message: By gnome: Gnome Settings Daemon failed to start: The Settings Manager restarted to many times:

The child process reported the folowing error: no specific error

What do i do to solve it? (i didn't install drivers for my soundcard yet, that the problem?)
