Boot Problem
used slack 9.1 on ASUS P3B-F ok on ide hdd. .. not ok when SCSI adaptec 2940UW with 2 IBM HDD (36.GB total) is used.
error message:
Kmode:failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k block-major-8, errno=2
VFS : Cannot open root device "801" or 08:01
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic:VFS : Unable to mount root fs on 08:01
tried to use adaptec.s but not succesful, mrb too, again same message
