Zipslack "Warning unable to open an inital console."
 
HI

i downloaded zipslack and followed all the instructions on thire site and all i get is
"Warning unable to open an inital console."
then
"kernal panic: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernal"

not sure what that means but please help.

How did you go about booting it?

I followed the instrctions on the slackware page. and loading it form the autoexec.bat file.

How did you follow the instructions, ie what partition did you choose,etc...

Partition is hda1

Where did you extract the zipslack zipfile to?
Boot with a standalone bootdisk and run 'fdisk -l'. Post results.

Used c:\linux
and boot using hdd (commad.com) fat 16 fs

managed to fix it by installing slackware 9.1
