XServer?
I just installed the latest slackware last night, and I don't seem to have and XServer. Am I missing something? I used to have to choose what server to install based on my video card hardware.
Thanks! -pete |
I haven't installed slackware in a while, and I don't remember whether I picked my X or not. In any case, can you start x (using startx)?
If you have an XF86Config-4 that means you have version 4 |
No, I can't start X. It tries then dies with some error messages that I didnt copy down. I do know the XServer link in /usr/X11/lib points to an empty directory.
I didnt get a chance to run xf86config yet as it was getting quite late. I'll try that later. thanks, -pete |
