Xsane - need reconnect usb scanner

If boot slackware and run Xsane, xsane not found scanner.
I reconnect USB cable to scanner, run Xsane again and scanner work, and each new boot system need reconnect usb scanner for work with xsane.
Please help, why xsane not found scanner without reconnecting?
In /dev directory after reconnect not found new devices or changes permissions.

Seems to be the same problem as I had. PV provided a fix in slackware current. You didn't state what version of Slackware you are running. If you're not running current and don't wish to, the fix is quite easy. Edit the file /lib/udev/rules.d/80-libsane.rules and change the line (line 26 on my system) from
Code:
ACTION!="add", GOTO="libsane_rules_end"
to
Code:
ACTION!="add|change", GOTO="libsane_rules_end"
Hope this is of help.
Regards
Phil
