xpdf-3.02pl2-i486-1_slack12.0 errors

A patch for xpdf was announced yesterday and I downloaded and upgraded the current installation. It's apparently broken:

[rshepard@lemna ~]$ xpdf input_variables.pdf
X Error of failed request: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation)
Major opcode of failed request: 45 (X_OpenFont)
Serial number of failed request: 597
Current serial number in output stream: 598

It's also broken on Slackware-11.0; it seg faults.

Has anyone else seen this? I'm going back to the defaults in the meantime.

Well, a complete re-installation on -12.0 fixed it there, too.

Sorry for the bandwidth use,
