xorg.conf
Hello,
I've upgrade glibc and X11 on my slackbox bot now the X server bombs out saying: No input driver matching 'Keyboard' Now, I know to change this to 'kbd' or 'keyboard' But this doesnt work. In fact the changes I make in /etc/xorg.conf don't have any effect If I delete this file is still doesnt make any difference! It still tires to load X and bombs out with the same error :-S Does anyone know what's wrong here? It's like the file isn't updating or something. The changes I make to /etc/X11/xorg.conf don't actually make a difference to what is read (even removing it!) At the top of the section it also says something about: failed to open listener for inet6 could this be the cheese? and if so what to do? Thanks |
rerun xorgconfig
|
Of course, I've already done that.
Even if I put totally mad options it still uses the old file............. It just won't read a new file. running xorgconfig doesn't do anything..... |
sounds like another file is getting in the way. XF86Config-4 maybe? post an ls -l of the /etc/X11 directory.

right
I made a copy of xorg.conf in my /root directory before upgrading x11 for some reason X was using this file as it's config file :-S I didn't set this.... So I deleted it and now it seems to point back to /etc/X11/xorg.conf now I am in GTK broken hell! why did i upgrade :-( |
