XMMS keeps pre-buffering

I've been listening to internet radio with XMMS and mplayer for years with the same playlist (I did check to see if the URL moved and it did not). Last week the website split their streams up into different music genres. Since then mplayer plays the streams fine (I have the win32 codecs installed). XMMS keeps pre-buffering the same stream but won't play anymore.

Is this because XMMS isn't reading the win32 codecs that mplayer is? How do I make XMMS read these same codecs?

My codecs are in 4 places (I tried to cover all possibilities with symbolic links in 3 places):

/usr/local/lib/codecs/ (all codec files from 10222006)
/usr/loca/usr/lib/win32 (sym link to /usr/local/lib/codecs/)
l/lib//win32/ (sym link to /usr/local/lib/codecs/)
/usr/lib/codecs (sym link to /usr/local/lib/codecs/)

This is the stream that keep pre-buffering in XMMS:
