xine, dragonplayer segfault playing h264 video

I was trying to play an MP4 (h264) video from Meet The Gimp (in particular, this one) but both xine and dragonplayer would play a couple of seconds of it (poorly) and then segfault and die. The error spew looked like:

Code:
$ xine meetthegimp152.mp4
This is xine (X11 gui) - a free video player v0.99.5.
(c) 2000-2007 The xine Team.
[h264 @ 0xb5e91934]abs_diff_pic_num overflow
[h264 @ 0xb5e91934]decode_slice_header error
[h264 @ 0xb5e91934]concealing 3600 DC, 3600 AC, 3600 MV errors
[...]
[h264 @ 0xb5e91934]get_buffer() failed (stride changed)
[h264 @ 0xb5e91934]decode_slice_header error
[h264 @ 0xb5e91934]abs_diff_pic_num overflow
[h264 @ 0xb5e91934]decode_slice_header error
xiTK received SIGSEGV signal, RIP.
Aborted
dragonplayer emitted the same output, so I assumed it was something amiss in one of the libraries they both use. mplayer plays the video, so I'm not without recourse, but it would be nice to know what's up with the segfaults. Anyone seen something like this?
System specifics, if it matters:

Slackware 13.1 (freshly installed)
AMD64x2 5600
4GiB SRAM
GeForce 8800 GTX w/ 768MiB VRAM

Thanks!

Kurt

My VLC package plays that MP4 file flawlessly. And xine indeed chokes on it and segfaults...

Try http://slackware.com/~alien/slackbuilds/vlc/

Thanks Alien Bob. mplayer is working for me at this point but I might try VLC just for kicks. I'm also glad to know that xine chokes for you, too. I've marked this "solved" insofar as I have a workaround.
