XFCE4 : problem in removing taskbar


i've commented my .xinitrc like this

#xftaskbar4&
xfdesktop&
#xfcalendar &

but the taskbar still exist...any idea

When xfce is running, kill the taskbar with killall or by PID and shut down and tell it to 'save settings' or whatever. If that doesnt work, wipe ~/.cache or whatever it is, but that should do it. What it's doing is overriding your ~/.xinitrc based on how it thinks you want your desktop, so you have to slap it and say 'No, *this* way'.
