XFCE Desktop - Slackware 14 - Typo

Slackware 14 (32 Bit) XFCE Desktop, Thunar 1.4.0 Left Panel displays
Download when the main Window Displays Downloads.

I've edited my Left Panel to reflect "Downloads".

Thanks.

Is it only in Slackware or generally in Xfce? In case of the latter, did you post it on the Xfce mailing list?

gargamel,
I had not thought about the problem being associated with XFCE 4.10. I burned a ISO of Xubuntu, and sure enough the same
typo exists in the left panel of Thunar. What is displayed in the left panel is "Download" and when I clicked on it
the ~/Downloads window was displayed in the right Thunar panel.

I'll make a posting on the XFCE mailing list.

Thanks.

Larry

Thanks, perferct!

Slackware and patches

Usually, the Slackware crew relies on upstream developers and avoids to add own patches. So it is very likely, that a bug like the one you described comes from upstream.

Xfce and patches

I have sent a couple of bug reports to the Xfce team in the past and both bugs were fixed rather quickly. So they really listen. Regarding the typo you found: It's 'only cosmetic', so it may not be put on top of the dev's priority list, on the other hand my guess would be, that it takes no real effort to fix it. Let's see...

Best regards
