Slackware noob here, would updating be just downloading all the files and running the slackbuild scripts as root like regular slackbuilds?
All you need to do is run the xfce-build-all script as root after downloading everything. It calls each slackbuild in turn and installs/upgrades the resulting package before moving on to the next slackbuild, all in the correct order to get the dependencies right.
mlpa : my panel and right click menus are different as well. The right click menu has entries for my wine applications, while the panel menu does not. As far as I know this is the only difference.

Thanks for the feedback.
I will try to solve this issue.
About the Xfce compositor, the new version of xfwm adds a setting "Synchronize drawing to the vertical blank" that reduces screen tearing for me.
Only regression I have found is that some icons are not displayed in the panel, the older version can be used (at the cost of a new calender applet though ), and xfdesktop takes slightly longer to load (but adds lots of new features).

Three new changes:
1. Added a ChangeLog file (with a single entry from today, never expected so much feedback)
2. Update XFCE4-Panel from 4.11.0 to 4.11.1 (may fix the issue of the icons)
3. Add the ARCH path for the weather plugin.
As far as I know two issue remain:
1. A possible issue in XFCE4-Panel (thanks @aaditya)
2. The panel Menu and application menu differs (the first lacks wine applications)
Distribution: Slackware64 15.0 (started with 13.37). Testing -current in a spare partition.

Thanks a lot mlpa for the packages
it is working perfectly.
At first time I just wanted to build the packages, so edited
the line INST=1 to INST=2 in xfce-build-all.sh file.
But I think some packages are dependencies to others and
some package stopped building with error.
So I changed back to INST=1 and did the proper way.
When I returned to the graphical Xfce all was there,
my menu on the left border with some transparency,
task bar with full transparency, icons near to the clock,
weather applet, orage, clipboard. Just the mixer icon was missing.
I added the mixer and now I have sliding adjust for volume control
I have that issue with Wine too, the right-click menu has Wine group
and applications, but the task bar main menu doesn't have Wine group.
It seems to happen with all users.
About tearing, I think it's gone movies doesn't have horizontal lines anymore.
Until this moment there is not a fix for the missing menu entries in the application menu.
It appears to be a known bug.
To minimize this issue I added xfce4-whiskermenu-plugin to the build.
This menu is shipped by default in the new Xubuntu, and does not suffer from missing icons or entries.

Thanks for the new packages, I downloaded and installed but the Wine menu bug still remains.
I will use your packages anyway (again thanks for the work), because there was another
annoying thing that they fixed on right-click menu, the 'Others' entry was with a
huge 48x48 icon, and another 32x32, the rest was normal (16x16 I think).
But I didn't change the icons size.
(and of course because the volume slide control, very useful)
About tearing, I don't know if there is such thing, but it seems there are levels of tearing.
With 'old' Xfce with composition on, it was full tearing. And with composition off, none tearing.
I was using Compton sometimes, and with it was really none tearing too.
Now with your packages with composition on and the new feature vsync, there is a 'little bit' tearing.
Some videos have, some doesn't have tearing, but it seems much less than old Xfce.
I will keep using Compton, I think it is the best solution with Xfce.
Since 4.11 is not a stable release (only releases with even minor version number are for XFCE) I doubt that this will happen.
I am going to maintain these packages, but I think XFCE is losing relevance.
XFCE still uses GTK2, which shows signs of old age.
GTK3 is a mess, some projects have abandoned GTK3 in favor of QT.
LxQT catched my attention, after some releases may become a worth alternative to XFCE.

Hello mlpa, thanks for the packages. Excuse me, I forgot to mention that
I always installed your packages in Slackware -current, not 14.1.
I installed the new packages and it's all right, no errors.
Unfortunately the Wine menu problem still remains.
There is another problem that I didn't understand. I have two menus that
I add, one top level "3DGames" for Quake3, STK, etc.
The other menu is an Office sub-menu for Apache Open Office.
Both menus have icons, but the icons are missing with this new version.
I already changed the icon set (Tango, Oxygen, Gnome, etc) but the icons
don't appear. Those menus are for all users, and the icons are missing for all users.
Thanks again for your work, that volume slider really made me happy
About tearing, I'm still using Compton with the Xfce Vsync option disabled.
I will test that option later with more time available.
The original XFCE menu does not show all icons.
It is a known bug, for that reason I added whisker menu.
Can you check if the problem remains with the new menu?
It would be great if Pat upgrade the official /xfce tree to 4.11 for the next stable version of Slackware
It would be even greater if the Xfce team got their act together and published an update once in a while. As much as I dig the Xfce project, it looks like abandonware from a mere public relations point of view.
