Xauth file home/user/.serverauth.1436 does not exist

Hello the problem at hand is I log Into my user account ( not a new account ) go to startx and get the error xauth: file /home/user/.serverauth.1436( number changes anytime startx is tried) it will load give the message /home/user/.Xauthority not writable ..will continue to load and when the startx X loads it's just a blank screen..everything worked fine last night , I didn't do any updates or anything that should have messed something up ..I'm using fluxbox as a DE and logging in as root and using startx works fine I am running Slackware -current

I'll copy my response to your other message here...

If .Xauthority is not writeable, you probably started a program or X session as root using su from your normal user and screwed up permissions in your home directory. Try doing chown -R Fibonacchoz:users /home/Fibonacchoz (replacing Fibonacchoz with your normal username).
