X11 TTF Issues; OOo Font Issues

I can't seem to get a single TTF font in OpenOffice.org 1.1.4. When satrting X, there's an error about failing to initialize the "TTF" fond directory. The fonts load everywhere else. How can I get those fonts in OOo?

copy windows fonts in your TTF directory, add the line fontpath /location/TTF to your xorg.conf.
You might want to install xfs-xtt too(in freebsd it is xfstt)

In Slack, such a directory already exists and is configured. It's in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/TTF

If it's a recently-installed font, you may need to update the X font cache, with /usr/X11R1/bin/fc-cache. Needs to be run as root.
