Did you make a fresh xorg.conf, or are you using your old one?
If you're using the old one it's probably looking in the wrong places for your modules.

Do you have a dri module in /usr/lib/xorg/modules/dri/?

Did you read the CHANGES_AND_HINTS.txt?

yes, i have read the files and i guess it's fixed now.
It's because i haven't installed expat when i installed the new fonts, so the install script didn't work and didn't update the font path.

My next problem will be the Xorg server.
When i ran startx, it will only display a xterm and terminal and that's it. I usually get a KDE login screen. I tried to run KDM as root, and yes, there is KDM working. I wonder why did XOrg couldn't do that.

UPDATE: It's fixed now
i just have to run xwmconfig and select KDE. I usually use pkgtool to select this, but i guess it's not working anymore.

Xorg in current Slack

I upgraded my Slack-current using all fresh packages but I have a problem with 3D rendering.
When I try to run glxgears it behaves "nervously", slow and unstable.
I use old xorg.conf and a savage video driver for my IBM T23 machine.

My questions are:

How can I generate my fresh new xorg.conf by myself ?

Are there any other happy users of latest Slack-current on T23 laptop ? What are your experiences ?

Cheers.....
