Write to floppy while mounted

I used to know the parameters to enter into my fstab for this, but have forgotten since then (getting old). Anyway, I would like to write files to floppy disk while the disk is mounted. Currently, the files are only written when I attempt to unmount the disk. What do I have to enter into my fstab to write while mounted? Thanks.

Hi,

There's a sync mount option you can use, but (to my knowledge) it only works for ext2/ext3/ufs filesystems. See man mount for details.

You could try using the sync command (the program, not the mount option). See man sync for details.

Hope this helps.

I believe that was it, as it sounds familiar. Thanks for refreshing my memory!
