Wirelss Server using Slackware

Hi,

Has anyone used Slackware as a server in a wireless networking environment? If so, what kind of services are you running on it and how do you do it? Is there anything you would do it differently if you have the chance to do it over?

It would be great if you can also list the hardware you used and the any driver that is not built in Slackware.

I am considering converting my home wire based network into a wireless one. I would appreciate any insight I can get.

Thank You.

There's no real difference between a wired and wireless setup. Its all just TCP/IP networking just over a different physical layer. Clearly you'll want to consider your network security a little better. The standard wireless WEP is pretty poor. You may want to run run IPSec over it for security - take a look at http://www.freeswan.org

cheers
