To run Wine on Slackware 64 bit you have to install AlienBob's multilib packages. Have you done that already?

First of all, you have to read this : http://alien.slackbook.org/dokuwiki/...kware:multilib

You can also manage the multilib using the tools I wrote : multilibpkg and compat32pkg

Cheers.

Another option is to use notepad++.jib - portable application pre packaged with Wine

mehdkarate,
Did you do a FULL install of Slackware 14 (64 Bit)?

Wine also needs the following dependencies:
1. Fontforge
2. Wine_Gecko
3. msttcorefonts or webcore-fonts

I've got a [HOWTO] for installing TurboCAD Ver 7.0 that tells how I installed Wine for 32 Bit Slackware.

http://wiki.winehq.org/Gecko
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...-a-4175430939/

You may want to stick with the default Wine version on www.SlackBuilds.org

How do I install/run a MSI file?
MSI files cannot be run directly, you need to use the msiexec program. MSI files can be installed in Wine from the terminal like this:
wine msiexec /i whatever.msi

Alternatively:
wine start whatever.msi

That will then run the MSI program the same as if you had double-clicked it in Windows.

Your process should be about the same, except for multilib.
