Question Wine compile problem.

I have downloaded Wine-20020710.tar.gz.tar, untarred it and I did ./tools/wineinstall like it says in the readme file. But I get the error ->

../../../include/wine/obj_storage.h:568: internal error: Segmentation fault
Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
See <I don't have 5 posts> for instructions.
make[2]: *** [audio.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/downloads/wine/wine-20020710/dlls/winmm/wineoss'
make[1]: *** [winmm/wineoss] Error 2

I also tried
./configure
make depend
make

but I get the same error...

What am I doing wrong?
(I'm running slackware 9)

I have a Soundblaster 5.1, wich works. And I don't have USB on my mainboard. (It's a MSI K7D-Master, very early revision, didn't have USB because off bug in AMD760MPX chipset)

There is a Wine.tgz you can install with pkgtools (installpkg wine[version]. I installed on my Slackware 9.0 setup and Wine worked fine. I still had issues getting games to work, but the Wine install was flawless as far as I could tell. The slack-packed wine should be availible from linuxpackages.net. I'm all for installing from source usually, but with the complexity (for me!) of Wine I was happy to let the .tgz take care of it.
