If it's a RedHat RPM, you can always convert the RPM to a Slack package with rpm2tgz.
In all honesty, I've never heard of the program, let alone used it. My guess would be that it will probably work. Just remember to download the FC1 package if it's a choice between FC1 or FC2. FC2 has some dependancies that fail on Slack 10.1 (but may work on -current. I stick to numbered releases.)
The best way to see if it works is to try it. I'd suggest using the RedHat RPM so that it's easy to remove if it doesn't work.
