Why no rc.dhcpd?

Why no rc.dhcpd distributed with Slackware?

Let me just say: Yes I know that alienBOB has provided one and I am grateful to him for it as I use it everywhere.

I am simply intrigued to know why Pat has decided to provide ISC DHCPD, but decided not to provide a start-up script for it.

Anyone know?

Wasn't aware of that one.. but still not clear why it's not included in rc.d

I can only assume Pat is standardising on an initial config using dnsmasq and doesnt want ISC dhcpd to interfere with dnsmasq.
