Working through the documentation you gave me.

Hey - glad it worked out for you - starting with Linux/Slackware without internet access is a total PITA. Sorry I missed your last couple of posts but it looks like you got there in the end! Folks on this forum are really helpful and knowledgeable - you will learn a lot buy frequenting the forum and following peoples' troubles. Onebuck's link is very useful too. I'd definitely recommend studying the Slackbook first. Just one thing - it's very helpful to others if you mark your threads as [SOLVED] when they have been resolved. There's a button to do that.

I'm not there yet, but it looks like I have what I need to do it. But as with all things DIY, there's bound to be some sort of unexpedcted spanner in the works. I reckon I'll have plenty of questions to ask you once I'm done with the documentation.

And once I've got my slackbox online, I'm sure that will lead to even more questions. Whenever I solve a computer problem I'm always rewarded with a more complex problem.
