[SOLVED] Why are there so many instances of "httpd -k start"

I load up Task Manager on XFCE and I see there are four instances of "httpd -k start" and each instance using about/around 10mb or so. Is this normal behavior or are too many spawning at once? I use the regular rc.httpd file to start/stop httpd.

Could it have to do with pages that I have? I have my regular www.mydomain.com and then mydomain.com/mail and /cloud /form ...that is 4...so maybe that is why?

apache starts as root the first instance.

after that, by default event MPM is used, see /etc/httpd/extra/httpd-mpm.conf

it starts 3 servers as the apache user that answer to requests (see the link above for details).
