Yes, as far as I know, I got all the dependencies listed w/ yes beside them in the dvdrip README file and compiled them, as well as the prerequisites I needed for some of the perl modules. I did load the ffmpeg package I got from linux packages. The version (vs) I got is shown in previous post.

As for the libintl perl dependency, I show having libintl.h in /usr/include. Is that what you are talking about? If not I searched cpan for it and nothing came up at search.cpan.org.

Thanks for the help Simon.

[edit] Sorry for the double post.. didn't show first post so I didn't think it posted.

Ok simon.. I didn't look correctly. I didn't add the -perl to the end of libintl but I did find it and compiled. It compiled ok except it said :

Note (probably harmless): No library found for -lintl
Note (probably harmless): No library found for -liconv
Writing Makefile for Locale::gettext_xs
Writing Makefile for libintl-perl

I tried the perl Makefile.PL again in ~/dvdrip and got :

Writing Makefile for Video:VDRip

Then the make test errored again :

Maybe you , or someone, can tell me how to fix this so that I can finish the compile.

Thanks for the help.!

[edit] I did already have the libintl-perl compiled b4.. it's the Locale::TestDomain module. I compiled all the perl modules listed.

&POSIX::setlocalle() fix

Same problem here. I solved the problem by adding

use POSIX qw(setlocale);

to the top of the complaining file. Look around for the other 'use' statements and stick it there. No idea if its omission is a programming oversight or an artifact from a configuration hiccup.

Now, if anyone can tell me why audio is lagging video by 1-2 frames and how to fix it I'd be happy.

Regards,
BE

Thanks alot wdezell. I put the code use POSIX qw(setlocale); in with the other lines stating use in the Config.pm file and recompiled dvdrip and now its up and running. Now I just have to give it a try.

Thanks again to all that helped and I hope this helps someone else.
