which version of cdrecord for 2.6 kernel
Anybody know which version of cdrecord will work with the 2.6 kernel.I read that someone had got burning working by not appending "ide-scsi",but this failed for me.Im using slackware version 10.2:cry:

I'm (still) using Slackware 10.2, its cdrtools package (which includes the cdrecord command) and a 2.6.17.13 Linux kernel. I don't need to use any special values for the LILO's append parameter in order to burn CD : everything works fine out of the box.

alternate choice
That's right.
or alternate choice could be dvdrecord from linuxpackages.net or find the souces on the net. My KDE complains, bu burns DVDs 'splendid' ;-) search here a little: www.slackware.com/~alien/slackbuilds/ Please kind-moderator: remove the below one double-posted - nervuos-klicking over-post :-( Thanx :-) |

Did it really fail or are you just freaking out because of the stupid I'm-arguing-with-Linus warning message?
