What do you use? Zsh?

Yep, zsh, mostly for the much better command-line completion.

Another xterm junkie, here. Can't stand the new terminals. Sometimes I wish for tabs on my xterms, but not enough to trade them in for something flakier.

Konsole with bash FTW.

Hello,

at first I want to say thanks to dugan who created this interesting thread. It inspired me to try some settings for xterm. So it seems xterm is much more useful than I thought.

But there is one thing I'm missing with xterm. When I use konsole or qterminal, I can paste into the terminal (with CTRL+SHIFT+V).
Question: is there a configuration for xterm which makes it possible to paste text (for example from a website) into the terminal?

Markus

Try the following:

1. Middle Mouse Button
2. Shift + Middle Mouse Button
3. Shift + Insert

Thanks for the answer, both Middle-Mouse-Button and SHIFT-INSERT work.

sycamorex: Thanks! Now I can paste with method #3 though my middle mouse button doesn't work anymore.
