Question Where is my ISA Tulip module and ETH0 device under Slackware 14.0?

Slackware 13.37 recognized my "Tulip" ISA card by default and showed
it in the list of

# less /proc/modules

Slackware 14.0 does NOT seem to recognize my "Tulip" ISA card, and
the list of modules in

# less /proc/modules

is empty !

Slackware 13.37 shows an "eth0" device when I do an

# ifconfig

Slackware 14.0 only shows the "lo" device when I do

# ifconfig

Help !!!

Have you tried "modprobe tulip" to see if that brings up your network card?

Assuming that tulip is the correct driver but you can get the driver name from your 13.37 setup to make sure.

If that makes it work then you can uncomment it from /etc/rc.d/rc.modules so that it works every time.

I'm guessing you don't have any modules installed for your kernel.

Unhappy

Yes, it seems I cannot install FUSE

# cd /etc/rc.d
eyes:/etc/rc.d# ./rc.fuse
Loading fuse module failed !

I am running the HUGE.S kernel, the HUGEMAP.S kernel hangs
under Slackware 14.0, and not under Slackware 13.37
The FUSE module works under Slackware 13.37
