Where in -current is kscd?
Where in slackware-current is the KDE CD player kscd?
I couldn't find an executable on my HD, it wasn't listed in MANIFEST.bz2 (although some help files for it were), and it didn't seem to be disabled in the build scripts. |
Hmmmm.......Its not on my Slackware64-current either, just docs and icons. I've never used it, so I never missed it. I use vlc mainly now for cd playing - or mplayer.

it should be in kdemultimedia
|
All kdemultimedia has are the docs. I've confirmed this by looking in both /var/log/packages and in the MANIFEST file on the mirrors.
Also, there was no mention of kscd's removal in the changelogs. |
Using the sources and compiling by hand, kscd is skipped. Though the source files for kscd are included. It's not even a cmake option. The only options are -
Attempting to build kscd results in cmake errors. Even the lattest svn of kde-multimedia fails to buld kscd. The last entry in the changelog is from Wed May 31 06:18:21 2000. Perhaps it's dead? |
I seem to recall that kscd required some library that we don't have and didn't care to add, but I don't recall any other details. Sorry :/
