Where exactly would one report Slackware bugs?
I have been using Slackware for a number of years, and just recently realized I have no idea how to actually get in touch with Pat or anyone else close to the development of Slackware itself.
I have noticed at least one bug in Slackware -current, and possibly a bug in the installer itself (though I need to test that a bit more before I can say if it is a problem with Slack or not), but I have no idea how to report them. The Mailing Lists shown on slackware.com are not for bug reports, and the only email addresses listed are for general questions and security issues. Anyone know where you are supposed to report bugs? |

Slackware is flawless LOL :D :D :D :D |
http://www.slackware.com/lists/ is probably a good place to start.
or http://www.slackware.com/contact/ |
The only emails that I've seen are here: http://slackware.com/contact/
If a bug is a security issue I would assume security@slackware.com and I would assume it would be ok to report other bugs to info@slackware.com |
Like I said in my first post, XavierP, none of those are what I am looking for. The mailing lists are just announcements, and the email addresses don't match what I want either.
If I wanted to report security problems, maybe, but that isn't what I am looking to do. But I guess info@slackware.com is the closest thing that is on the Slackware site. |
I have asked around on IRC, and it seems the excepted protocol for contacting Pat about general bugs in -current is to email him directly.
Thanks all. |
This is correct -- send an email to Pat directly and he'll respond.

Congratulations!
You may have found the first slackware bug EVER! ;) |
